Start Saving Water

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) helps educate Texans by providing valuable information about the importance of water conservation.  We also help motivate the state's citizens to develop a long-term water conservation ethic.

In 50 years, 85 percent of Texas citizens may have some level of water supply shortages during a drought if the state does not conserve its existing water supplies and add new supplies.

Water conservation begins with education.  To ensure that our state has adequate supplies, Texans need to know what resources are required for water planning, treatment, and infrastructure.  They also need to know how their own efforts can make a difference.

Become involved and see how simple water conservation can be.
